The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for planning, organising and leading the sourcing of APAC, region, The Sourcing Specialist manages the strategic sourcing of Goods and Services, including the negotiation and administration of associated contracts and agreements.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
5 years experience in strategic sourcing and/or procurement in which a minimum of 3 years of extensive experience negotiating agreements and managing suppliers Excellent Analytical and Problem solving skills Strong Project Management Skills Excellent Risk Management and Assessment skills Superior experience in contract formation and negotiation. Experience developing and proposing Cost Reduction programs RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead collaborative regional and corporate cross functional Marketing, Engineering and IT commodity teams to analyze spend, develop and implement spend management strategies and proactively manage the supply base. Lead sourcing management activities for a portfolio of key Commodities Throughout the region. Maintain high-quality supply base to optimize project efficiency and overall costs. Understand and monitor current commodity market conditions/trends, developing technologies, customer requirements and supply/demand challenges. Develop and maintain supply market intelligence of all major Spend categories. Develop, implement and manage proposal activities; lead negotiation and completion of contracts with global strategic and preferred suppliers to maximize benefit. Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with internal customers, suppliers, key stakeholders, and team members. Implement a rigorous and disciplined process for managing the supply base including quarterly business reviews, monitoring and managing supplier relationships, performing root cause analysis and resolution, developing and monitoring supplier improvement plans. QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:
Strong knowledge of information technology and knowledge of current market trends Advanced negotiation experience, including cost modeling, comprehensive cost analysis and results reporting. Ability to perform market and industry trend analysis, evaluate supply sources, and assist customers in identifying solutions to their needs. Best practices knowledge for sourcing management. Detail oriented with strong problem solving leadership skills. Proven skills in team dynamics and ability to work in a cross matrix environment. Degree or Dipolma in ; supply chain management discipline, finance or business. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with suppliers and internal customers at the executive level Capable of effectively utilizing Ariba Buyer and SAP Financials Excellent MS Excel skills Available and willing to travel 20% of the time Ideal Candidate will be responsible for both the Purchasing and Sourcing of all commodities within the APAC Region. Majority of work will be in the Strategic side , negoiating contracts and proposals for key purchases. However the tactical side of the business will also need to be supported which involves handling approvals within our Procurment Application, (NetBuyer), and running Monthly/Quarterly reports to support our SOX Compliance Process.
