Your role will cover the technical planning, integration, building/enhancing, testing, service rectification, proactive maintenance and problem investigation performance of all Telstra operational network security systems and tool activities.
Upon commencing your key accountabilities will include;-
- Deliver network security operational project outcomes and provide the highest level of technology domain support to the Security Operations Centre
- Redesign, implement, operate, continuously improve and ensure compliance to Network Services network security operational processes
- Provide escalated expert support to internal operational teams to ensure minimum disruption to customer services
- Drive a proactive culture to reduce common network security causes and occurrences
- Provide high level advice and have in place appropriate processes that ensure network wide and system operational changes/releases are implemented without compromising the network security capability and integrity of Telstra's networks, platforms and systems
- Work with other Telecommunications Carriers and ISPs to ensure all incoming threats are understood and mitigated in a collaborative way that benefits Telstra's customers and Network
- Build a highly motivated and customer responsive workforce operating within a well implemented performance management framework
To be considered eligible for this senior role it is essential you possess the following attributes/skills;-
- Demonstrated experience leading highly skilled IT and telecommunications operations organisations gained in large scale environments involving multiple technology domains, IT and engineering ????? ????? and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership skill and experience, with an emphasis on leading change and the development of high performance cultures
- Broad understanding of trends in both the IT and telecommunications industries
- Sound understanding of IT & telecommunications security operations and process models
- Sound understanding of the telecommunications business environment
- Demonstrated tactical project management experience. Ability to design and implement relevant operations models, operations plans and organisational structures in accordance with the strategic direction
- Demonstrated ability to achieve outcomes through internal and external relationships
- Ability to communicate with senior management
- Clearly demonstrated ability to take charge and to provide leadership under pressure
You will be required to take the technical lead in building and sustaining a high performance team of technology experts and specialist across multiple technologies. Deliver successful outcomes in transformation, competitive advantage, risk mitigation and profitable growth through the co-ordination of all security operations and integration resources and capabilities.
You must ensure that service must be delivered to the exceptionally high level expected from the whole Telstra customer base (Consumer to Enterprise). Whilst service outcomes are delivered, year on year productivity and efficiency workforce improvements must be met.
