In this role you will provide specialist knowledge and input into designing, managing, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server & VMware Virtual Server infrastructure.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

Responsible for implementing and maintaining Windows/VMware environments for both internal and external clients whilst working closely with networking engineers.

Configure and manage Windows/VMware based servers, applications and the tools.

Provide second/third level technical support to the Service Provisioning and Fault Management processes

Provide after hours On Call ????? ????? to the external and internal Windows/VMware environments

Design responsibilities for complex provisioning requests

Develop Windows/VMware based products and services

Run periodic OS audits and maintain the OS patching to the latest vendors recommended levels

To participate in the Security Audit projects and implement the security improvements

To be successful you will have the following Qualifications and Skills:

 

Bachelors degree

Minimum of 2-3 years experience monitoring ????? ????? the Windows environments for external and internal clients

MCSE Windows 2003 (Windows 2008 update also of advantage)

VMWare ESX skillsets

Experience within an ISP Hosting Environment is an advantage

Knowledge of Active Directory

Advance Knowledge of IIS & .Net

Advance Knowledge of Server Clustering

Experience with installing, monitoring ????? ????? HP and other Intel based platforms including DL360, DL380, and DL580 servers, running a mix of Windows 2000/ 2003 servers

Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, SNMP, FTP, HTTP

Working Knowledge of MS Exchange platforms

Security Tools and utilities knowledge

Experience with Back Up and the Storage (SAN, NAS) systems desirable

Involvement in Service Integration design projects is an advantage
