Project Manager - IT Development, Enhancement & Operational Improvement - Investment Banking. Global Equities IT area of this high proifile investment banking firm requires an IT Project Manager to work across the applications/operations area. The Project Manager will work on a number of new initiatives targeted at IT Ops Architecture, resiliency, process improvement and cost efficiency within the banks IT Operations Support team.

Required Skills & Experience -

• 5 + years project management experience leading IT app development, change, enhancement &/or operational improvement projects
• Experience in IT production/operational support and ITIL
• Experience in managing software upgrade and development projects preferably  
• Knowledge of structured/waterfall and agile project management methodologies and project management tools 
•  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with prior experience dealing effectively with business infrastructure and development teams
• Ability to build relationships between business users and the IT group 
• Experience of successfully working with or managing offshore teams 
• Leadership/coaching skills: must have previously demonstrated the ability to lead and build a small team of analysts, providing constructive feedback, resolving conflicts and managing change 
• Demonstrated ability to navigate through obstacles, work under pressure, and successfully deliver to tight deadlines in a fast moving business environment 
• Previous success managing difficult customer relationships and influencing direction
• Prior experience in a financial markets ie. equities or equity derivatives front / middle /or back office enviroment ideal but not imperative
• Experience of ITIL processes and IT Service Management tools e.g. Remedy, ITRS Monitoring
• Experience of Java J2EE or C#, VB.NET, Sybase and/or UNIX technologies would be very beneficial
