Java Solution Architect - Global Enterprise Environment - Java J2EE or .Net Background. Fast growing mulit-line investment products area within this leading global financial services & investment banking firm mrequires an experienced Solution Architect. The Solutions Architect will be reponsible for the design and development roadmap for multiple Java J2EE/RDBMS based systems development IT projects across the division. This a high visibility, Senior IT role within the bank, as a result we require an experienced, highly capable Solutions Architect with a demonstrable track record of success in architecting solutions of this nature. 

The Solution Architect will work with the IT Development Management team (40 x Java/OO Developers) to develop architectural solutions & an overall technical solutions architecture framework across financial product sets - Wealth Management, On-Line Trading, WRAP, Equities, Funds, Equities & Insurance - and a roadmap that will turn this architecture vision into reality.

Required Skills & Experience -

• Experience in developing an architectural strategy and successfully delivering ????? ????? based on that strategy.
• Ability to find the optimal solution when faced with conflicting demands
• Proven consulting and presentation skills
• Ability to persuade and negotiate with stakeholders
• Strong customer service focus
• Experience of all phases of the software life cycle

• Flexibility to deal with conflicting and changing priorities, and multi-tasking
• Experience of financial services or consulting will be an advantage

Technology Requirements -

• Extensive Java J2EE or C#.Net experience, including open-source technologies - Spring, Hibernate, Struts, Eclipse or nHibernate C#.Net etc
• Experience architecting solutions in a SOA/web services based environment  
• RDBMS technology
• Experience with UI/presentation layer frameworks & design patterns
• Prior Financial Services, Banking or Consulting experience of particular interest
• Integration technologies
