Business Process and Compliance Analyst

    The key responsibility of the role is ensure internal teams comply with internal controls in accordance with Telstra policy and procedures and to identify business improvement initiatives in order to increase performance within the assigned BU.
     
     Key accountabilities within this role include: 
    • Ensure the timely delivery of month end/Qtr/Yearly Controls Self Assessment (CSA) reporting
    • Perform audits of credit transactions in accordance with Telstra policy and procedures.
    • Perform compliance audit of key functions performed in several state based operation centres.
    • Perform deep dive analysis/diagnostics and recognise patterns in data to initiate improvements and solutions to existing processes, products and systems
    • Deliver high value improvement opportunities/initiatives or program of work that are relevant to improving higher service quality to customers
    • Develop detailed work plans to outline the key activities, time frames and deliverables for each improvement initiative
    • Review systems, processes and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements that both mitigate risk and add commercial value
    • Deliver month end KPI /performance reporting
    • Under take ad-hoc analysis as required to support the formulation of business decisions
    • Establish and maintain exceptional working relationships across the Telstra Enterprise and Government team and the wider business.

    To be successful in this role you have a solid understanding of internal controls and process systems including complex billing legacy systems and business improvement methodologies.
    You will have a "can do attitude", be a results driven, action oriented individual with the ability to work to deadlines in a dynamic team environment.
     
    Superior Excel/PowerPoint skills are essential. You will be Degree qualified (Business Discipline/CPA or CA) and your background could be from Financial/and or Audit/Compliance/Operational risk/Business Improvement.
