Business Analysts - Equities &/or Eq Derivatives Front Office - Contract/Perm

  • Business Analysts  Equities &/or Equitiy Derivatives Experience - Front Office situated. Global Equities trading area of a major global investment banking & financial services firm requires a Business Analyst with financial markets IT projects experience. Co-located with the business (sales and trading) The Business Analyst to be involved in a development, implementation & integration programs of work across the Equities front office. 

    Required Skills & Experience -  

    • 5 years + experience as a Business Analyst in Financial Markets / Investment Banking, ideally an Equities &/or Equity Derivatives technology environment  
    • Excellent knowledge of business process analysis, design and modelling techniques, to include UML, Agile Modelling, etc.  
    • Experience on IT projects working through the full BA life cycle  
    • Exposure to process modelling and BPMS/Workflow technologies is an advantage 
    • Prior experience with one of the following of benefit but not imperative - Fidessa , Charles River , Calypso, Iress, iBroker or simialr Order Management Systems for either Equities / Equity Derivatives systems

    Responsibilities -

    • Drive the preparation of detailed requirements during ????? ????? phase  
    • Assist in the management of issues effectively and efficiently, and escalate to the Project Manager in a timely manor  
    • Act as a conduit for managing the expectations of the business on a daily basis  
    • Work closely with the business to drive the requirements gathering, functional analysis and design of end-to-end business work flow  
    • Be instrumental in enabling the business to adapt to changing technical infrastructure, through the preparation of Business Process Change guides, briefing material and user documentation  
    • Act as a principle interface with the technical team as business requirements are translated to technical design  
    • Contribute to and where required drive the testing and issue identification aspects of the Project  
    • Be instrumental in preparation of Test Plans and Test Cases along side available testing and technical resources 
    • Contribute to the User Training activities, through one-to-one discussion, the preparation of user training guides 
    • Provide direct input and direction to the stream lead project manager when planning the Implementation Phase of the project
