Expect A Star specialises in early childhood recruitment and industry services providing recruitment, training and resources. We are currently based in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. We desire interest from an enthusiastic and motivated professional to manage and develop our Sydney office.

The applicant we are seeking will add value and grow with the company over the next 5 years and beyond. Initially you will fill the role as NSW Operations Manager for a period of 12 months (maternity leave) and this will serve as preparation to transition in to a role covering a number of our business lines if you are successful in the position. 

The role is based out of our North Sydney office but you will also be required to be in the field visiting key clients each week. The ideal candidate must be able to manage the key areas of business management, sales with key clients and staff leadership.

Your key responsibilities are:

  1. Staff leadership, guidance and management
  2. Achieving results and targets for our recruitment and training divisions
  3. Manage the day to day operations
  4. Business development, growth and planning
  5. Client management
  6. Administration tasks

We are looking for a person who has:

  • A comprehension of the companies goals and vision

  • A good communicator

  • A drive to achieve results
  • An effective sales approach
  • An understanding of the market and industry
  • An ability to adapt to a range of situations

You will be required to meet daily, weekly and monthly targets. Also achieve results and manage financial requirements, effectively manage a team of consultants and present yourself in a professional manner.

Desirable criteria:

  • Previous experience working in an early childhood/childcare setting.
  • Business management experience.
  • Leadership and office management experience.
  • Previous recruitment experience.
