An exciting and challenging position has arisen for an experienced Product Accountant to join this financial services giant on a 6 month contract.

This role will include the following duties:

• Daily / Month end accounting and P&L reporting for the equity derivatives business
• Daily System Reconciliations
• Frequent liaison with the Front Office staff keeping abreast of positions and strategies
• Ad-hoc projects, specifically relating to ongoing efficiency improvements to the area
• Liaison with other operating and finance divisions in providing account and P&L information

Skills and experience required for this role include:

• Degree qualified with CPA/CA or studying
• Strong Product Knowledge – specifically equity derivatives
• Strong knowledge of Excel
• Strong Access knowledge
• Strong control and risk awareness
• Ability to consistently work under pressure and actively take responsibility and ownership of issues
• General understanding of IFRS & its application for Financial Instruments
