A rare opportunity to join a Global industrial group with significant operations in plant engineering & construction, thermal generation, environmental systems, manufacturing, minerals & metals / smelting. The Group currently employs around 12,000 people in Europe, UK, USA, Australia, India and China with sales revenues of A$5.5 billion
On offer is a unique opportunity to step into the driving seat of one the groups recently restructured business units (Power Generation, Steam Plant, Industrial Process Plant) with full bottom line responsibility for all Asia Pacific operations.
Your key focus will be managing your business to achieve growth & profitability targets. Key to achieving targets will be leading your organisation through change, building and refining sales, project management / commercial capabilities to achieve strategic goals.
Based Sydney, you will lead a diverse team of around 200 specialist sales, estimation, engineering ????? ?????, supply / procurement, finance, project management, construction and commissioning specialists. Reasonable amounts of travel will be a feature of this role both within your region to manage your business and globally to network with other business units
You are a tenacious, dynamic, disciplined professional with:
- "Hard Dollar" EPC project execution experience (strong commercial and project management skills)
- Complex industrial plant EPC projects (power generation ideally)
- Proven Business Management experience with full P&L responsibility
- Leadership skills - win the confidence of the team / engage, build and lead team through change to achieve growth
- Business Development - lead key sales presentation /negotiation.
- Knowledge of the Australian / Asian market would be ideal
Remuneration has been positioned to match your challenges (circa $300k - $400k package).
