The opportunity:
To ensure the current future and adequacy and security of the transmission and distribution network, a Senior Transmission Planning Engineer is required.
The role:
Provide expert technical advice in a broad range of network capital planning disciplines, and the management and delivery of projects allocated to their team.
Skills/experience:
- Qualified Electrical Engineer, with additional qualifications looked upon favourably.
- Comprehensive demonstrable design, construction and maintenance of transmission and distribution systems including primary and secondary plant and equipment:
- Underground and over head mains
- HV (to 132kV) distribution substations
- Protection and control systems
- Planning and operations
- Economic and financial evaluation
- Sound working knowledge of acts, standards, codes of practice, & OH&S
- Project management, leadership, & excellent communications
