Signalling Design Engineer

Our client is one of the fastest growing engineering consulting firms in the Asia-Pacific region, with over 3,300 staff and an operational reach that includes major offices across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Across the region the company is recognised as a top-tier firm in transport infrastructure, buildings, environment, power and energy, and minerals and industry. Due to strategic growth they currently require a Signal Design Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist expert rail signalling advice and consultancy services on the design, maintenance and construction of signal and communication infrastructure assets.
• Provide project management services and support to major capital and recurrent projects ensuring the achievement of scope, quality, time and cost objectives.
• Work collaboratively to develop solutions and designs for maintenance and construction activities ensuring they provide for the best engineering and operational performance of the assets.
• Research, develop and implement signalling design and maintenance standards.
• Investigate, inspect, analyse and report on the condition of assets performance and assess options for continued performance of assets to required standards.
• Lead or participate in investigations of railway incidents.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar.
• Experience in Signalling Design and managing Signalling Projects in the Rail industry.
• Associate of Full Member of the Institute or Railway Signalling Engineers (IRSE).
