Marine Engineer

 



Kinetic Defence is the leading supplier of recruitment solutions to the Defence and Aerospace industries. Our client is currently looking for an experienced Marine Engineer who is looking for a challenging role with a Defence industry leader.

This position has been created to act as a bridge between ship's engineering ????? ????? project engineering ????? ?????.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Investigation and assessment of corrective maintenance for scope and nature of defect.

- Collection and collation of sufficient information from all relevant sources to determine the workscope required to perform remedial actions in response to reported defects, and growth tasks.

- Development of work proposals for submission to Project Manager/Boat Manager for review and approval.

- Chair/attend Emergent Work Meetings as directed by Project Managers.

- Monitoring ????? ????? work packages in terms of progress, budget and material requirements, noting those EWP on the critical path, to completion.

- Liaise with Supervisors regarding deficient materials and task sequence / work-arounds should a task be unable to commence IAW schedule.

- Report generation and formal presentation on Emergent Work metrics.

- Coordination of the timely provision of information to the Commonwealth.

- Provision of information to support cumulative risk assessment reports by Engineering ????? ?????.

Prerequisites

- Trade/Engineering ????? ????? familiarity with an understanding of Naval systems (this would ideally suit a former Navy Marine technician or engineer).

- Leadership skills combined with the ability to integrate into Boat Teams under limited supervision.

- Planning and Scheduling experience in an engineering/maintenance environment (including URDEF).

- Organisational ability and Technical research skills.

-Eligible for Australian Department of Defence security clearance (Must be an Australian Citizen).
