Sydney Location

Our client delivers systems integration and mission support to defence and government customers. Due to their continued growth and success, they have a requirement for a Senior Systems Engineer to join their Sydney based team. The Senior Systems Engineer is required to provide requirements, design, verification and validation support and will utilise their expertise in the current phase of the project, taking cognisance of cost and schedule constraints whilst ensuring ????? ????? processes set down by the Technical Lead.

Responsible for System Design and Analysis activities including: 

• Elicit / refine / document Requirements,
• Create Verification Statements for requirements
• Perform Systems Analysis to derive function, performance and interface requirements to satisfy the system requirements,
• Perform System Design activities (including trade studies) to ensure that the system architecture is compatible with the baseline product and is consistent across all subsystems and that the system design will meet the system level performance requirements,
• Maintain the design of the system including the specifications and interface requirements specifications as required,
• Develop and maintain system level architecture design documents as required,
• Perform technical risk analysis as required,
• Plan, document and execute Verification and Validation activities
• Understand the systems engineering ????? ?????, tools and procedures required to complete the systems engineering ????? ?????,
• Plan the technical execution of the project,

Essential Experience:

• At least 10 years experience in an engineering ????? ????? this experience involving one or more of following practices:
• Requirements definition
• Requirements management
• Requirements analysis
• Design
• Verification and Validation 

Desirable Experience:

• Knowledge of Systems Engineering ????? ????? (EIA-632 or IEEE 1220 or equivalent)

• Familiarity with Systems Engineering ????? ????? (eg DOORS, Matlab, Simulink)
• Experience working in defence training or simulation environments 

It is mandatory that all candidates by Australian Citizens and eligible for an Defence SECRET security clearance.
