Due to an ever expanding pipeline of water projects the need for team expansion has arisen. My client is looking for an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator for a major infrastructure Alliance project based in Melbournes western suburbs.
THE POSITION:
Based out on site this role will involve you working closely with Site managers, sub contractors and staff to encourage and promote safety in the workplace whilst and managing OH&S compliance at site level. You will be responsible for managing the OHS systems, identify potential hazards, responsible for conducting site inductions for new employees, training reporting and document control and implementing OHS strategies out on site whilst building a strong rapport with site crew.
THE PERSON:
You will possess exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt your style of training to each individual. You will degree/diploma qualified within an OHS discipline, 4+ years experience within a civil/ contractor environment, and strong organizational and computer skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams. Experience within a water / infrastructure background will be highly regarded.
