This position is a newly created role reporting to a manager with responsibility for two Junior Accountants.  The firm is a Financial Services organisation that provides Business Services, taxation and Accounting to a specific industry sector.  The organisation prides itself on providing a premier service to its clients and a first rate employment experience for it's people focussing on career development and job satisfaction.  The position will encompass the following:

• Preparation of income tax returns, business activity statements, fringe benefit returns
• Manage the taxation affairs of large clients, including managing internal teams
• Facilitate Taxation Planning for listed Client base
• Set budgets and prepare billing
• Meeting with companies in relation to international tax issues
• Conducting pre-departure and post arrival consultations both nationally and internationally with executives in relation to Australian tax implications and other issues to be aware of as a result of an International assignment
• Preparing ????? ????? letters for taxation issues pertaining to termination payments, superannuation, workers compensation, fringe benefits tax, payroll tax, employee share schemes and share option schemes
• Manage a small team and review their work
• Conduct training sessions
• Research various accounting, taxation and corporation issues
• previous experience working with retail, medical and/or the Pharmacy Sector.

 
This positioned requires an experienced accountant with several years taxation accounting experience gained with a respectable accounting firm.  The ideal candidate will have completed or will be close to completing the CA or Master of Taxation.  You will have a real passion for taxation and fastidious about researching its changing policies and procedures.  A natural flair for people management will help you to rise to very top in this firm.
