Exceptional opportunity has arisen for a leading business in sydney CBD who seek to appoint a commercial minded candidate in a broad role leading a sizable team.

The job holder will take responsibility for the management of the Management Reporting, Decision Support, Finance Systems and Operations Finance teams including business reporting, performance analysis, modelling and support. There will be a broad requirement for effective stakeholder management in order to foster strong working relationships.

Key responsibilities:

• Project management of the month end process and involvement in / resolution of accounting issues as appropriate.
• Prepare monthly management reporting packs and ad-hoc analysis.  Expectations include: 100% accuracy, completeness and comprehensive relevance of monthly management reports.  Meet required time and service delivery standards
• Act as CFO of Operations Division
• Oversee activities of Finance Systems team
• Preparation of the annual and half-yearly Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) for inclusion in the Annual Report and Analyst and Shareholder briefing presentations
• End-to-end management of the Annual Operating Plan and quarterly 3 year rolling forecast processes
• Report and track Group's capital expenditure
• Effectively engage and build excellent relationships with wide range of internal and external stakeholder
• Ensure a high degree of collaboration across the group and BU finance teams
• Make an active leadership contribution to the Finance Community.
• Develop and retain a high performing finance team. Ensure continuous improvement focus to deliver enhanced business performance.

Candidate:

• Qualified Accountant
• First class communication skills in order to foster strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally
• Exposure to a listed environment (including experience of writing board papers)
• Experience within financial markets, funds management or property funds
• Time spent within a business unit
• Experienced people manager
• Commercially focused with strong analytical, systems and management reporting skills
