Facilities Manager - Caboolture

Macquarie Real Estate Management Services (MREMS) provides property management and centralised financial services to an expanding portfolio of real estate assets. As managers of key community assets, we work closely with clients, retailers, local governments and residents to enhance the shopping experience for the communities in which we operate.

We are currently seeking a dynamic Facilities Manager with a strong understanding of retail environments to join our team, based in Caboolture.

In this exciting role, you will provide the facilities management expertise for a portfolio of shopping centres across Queensland and Northern NSW by effectively managing the daily operations of the Centre in a manner that ensures the ongoing maintenance of the asset.

This varied role will also involve:

  • Responsibility for Financial Year Budget and Quarterly reforecasting of operational contracts and R&M expenses
  • Capital works budget management
  • Contractor management
  • Ensuring maintenance and capex work is provided to the highest operational standards
  • Ensuring all safety and legislative compliances are adhered to
  • Establishing and implementing sustainability and cost saving initiatives
  • Supporting Tenancy Coordinator to ensure fitouts meet agreed standards

Ideally you will have a Retail Operational / Facilities Management background with a Trade/Engineering background in mechanical or electrical, building services etc. This is a fast paced environment, so you will need to be able to prioritise tasks and have an innovative approach to problem solving. An excellent understanding of lease management, property issues and all matters associated with the maintenance and general operations of running of a facility will be critical to your success in this role.
