Conveniently located in the St George area with onsite parking or close to public transport, our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Accountant to join their team.  This is a great opportunity to find stable employment until at least the New Year and if you prove your worth, this opportunity could be an ongoing assignment.

Reporting to the Finance Manager your key responsibilities will include:

• Month end, P & L and balance sheet reporting
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and associated reconciliations with the general ledger
• Assisting in various month end tasks including journals, financial statement analysis, budgeting and reconciliations

The client is keen to interview candidates staraight away as this position is to start ASAP.  To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

• Tertiary accounting qualifications (preferred)
• A minimum of 2 to 3 years financial accounting experience
• Knowledge of USGAAP and Australian GAAP would be beneficial
• Sound computer skills in the use of Excel and Hyperion.
