MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
The Victorian Independent Education Union (VIEU), which represents over 16,000 members in non-government education, is seeking a highly skilled Media and Communications Officer.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Promoting awareness of the Victorian Independent Education Union within the union movement and broader community and providing high-quality, relevant and up-to-date information to our membership and prospective members.

Overseeing the implementation of VIEU’s broad communications and media strategy which includes publications, newsletters, website and media promotion.
The successful applicant must have highly developed verbal and written skills preferably with several years experience in journalism, media relations or a related field. Publishing, research and/or policy experience are desirable and a commitment to the union movement is essential.
