The Media Manager will be responsible for the strategic digital media planning, implementation and ongoing management for two of the agency's largest blue chip clients. The Media Manager reports to the Media Director and is supported by a Media Co-ordinator in all facets the role, from strategic planning to reporting.
As a senior member within the organisation, the successful candidate will be responsible for thought leadership and mentoring. The candidate must also work well with cross-functional teams of media professionals, website managers, content creators and clients.
Media Manager Responsibilities:
- Understanding the clients short & long term business & marketing objectives, and working closely with creative and traditional media agencies to develop strategies to help achieve these objectives
- Specific development of strategic and tactical digital communications plans across an array of digital channels including Display, Performance, Search, Affiliate & Mobile to meet these objectives
- Effective presentation and selling of plans to key clients
- Creation of optimal campaign measurement strategies, and assist in the compilation, analysis, and presentation of campaign performance in regularly scheduled client meetings.
- Track, report, analyse and organise key metrics using Doubleclick DFA, Omniture and external syndicated research tools (Nielson NetRatings, AdRelevence, etc)
- Compare media plans with actual execution, delivery against goals and objectives, and assist in developing standard campaign benchmarks
- Management of direct report
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous media experience, with at least 2 years of digital media experience essential
- Tertiary degree preferably in marketing/advertising OR some combination of completed relevant coursework toward Bachelors degree and/or related work experience
- Excellent organizational skills and very detail orientated
- Previous management of a direct report is highly desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; experience presenting to senior client executives and/or internal executives is essential.
- Understands and can meet deadlines; strong ability to multi-task
- Strong problem solving abilities
- Advanced Office skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
