  • Columbus is a search engine marketing company specialising in pay-per-click (PPC) across Google, Yahoo and Bing!. It is part of Australia's largest  Communication Organisation -  Mitchell Communication Group.
     
    We are looking for a graduate or a candidate with basic PPC knowledge who is looking for a new challenge in search marketing (one of the fastest growth channels in the world). The search co-ordinator works closely with the  Search Manager to provide, campaign analysis, bid updates, research on market trends and client reports.

    Main duties in the Role
    • Responsible for setting up Pay-per-Click accounts in search engines including Google, Yahoo! And Sensis
    • Carry out thorough keyword research and analysis
    • Working closely with the Search Manager to develop PPC titles, creative’s for listings & optimising response ROI
    • Establishing most effective landing pages for PPC ads to keyword level
    • Implementing and testing the correct tracking codes (spotlight tags) for reporting
    • Liaise and build relationships with the Search Managers and suppliers such as Google, Yahoo!, Sensis and Doubleclick
    • Responsible for managing PPC campaigns via a third party technology provider, accurately and to deadline.
    • Responsible for completing upload sheets accurately and to deadlines
    • Attend campaign WIP’s and monthly status meetings with clients and Search Managers as required
    • Run client reports for submission to Search Managers
    • Overall responsibility for the creation of each implementation plan for any new campaign/client
    • Liaising with internal team members
     
     
    Key Skills and Qualifications Required:
    • Bachelor degree in marketing or advertising
    • Pay Per Click (Google) Experience (Preferred, not required)
    • Analytically minded
    • Strong Excel Skills
    • Ability to cope with conflicting demands and to prioritise tasks
    • Ability to work using own initiative or within the team
    • A positive attitude to dealing with people
    • Ability to provide analytical and insightful recommendations to clients and team
    • Ability to effectively communicate daily campaign performance
    • Ability to analyse results, identify and give reason for variance from goals
