We are keen to bolster the ranks of our Security Operations Vulnerability Services team by acquiring the talents of a Security Technical Expert with strong technical competence in either IP and/or mobile technology.
You will ensure that Telstra and it's customers have a secure working environment, providing expertise in the identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities, and working to prevent ongoing security risks both internally within Telstra as well as within our customer networks and platforms.
Your duties and responsibilities will incorporate the following:
- Vulnerability Identification - you will identify security vulnerabilities and assess the risk to the Telstra or customer environments
- Vulnerability Remediation - you will work with the appropriate teams to remediate the security vulnerability
- Awareness - you will provide value add information in the dissemination of security risk information
- Trend Identification - you will identify global trends and distribute this information in a professional manner
- Training - you will provide the necessary training to other team members as required
- Project Integration - you will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on projects as required
- Develop & maintain policies/procedures or standards for the business
In order to achieve success within this position it is essential that you draw upon your skills and experience within the following areas:
- Technical competence in IP and/or mobile technology
- Strong technical knowledge and awareness in at least one relevant environment ( IP / Wireless / Online / Mobile Technologies etc )
- Excellent in written and verbal communication
- Strong influencer
- Attitude - a take charge attitude is required
- Teamwork - must be able to work in a team of experts
- The ability to persuade / influence difficult clients
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects
