Immediate statutory planning contract is currently available at one of Australia's fastest growing municipalities. Culturally rich, with extensive history and a diverse community their planning department offers a varied workload - from major industrial corridors to residential, heritage, and rural land holdings. Their statutory planning team consists of vibrant and experienced planners and require a hard working statutory planner for an initial 4 month contract.

Your key responsibilities in this position will include assessing and processing a variety of permit applications including residential, industrial, heritage, commercial and recreational development. You will be expected to produce high quality, concise reports, conduct site assessments, and assist applicants and developers with planning advice.

To be suitable for this position you will have a tertiary qualification in town/urban planning and have a few years post graduate experience working in statutory planning. You will have strong communication and concise report writing skills, work well in a team as well as autonomously, and have a professional approach to customer service.
