Disability Services Australia has provided successful employment opportunities to people with a disability for over 50 years.
Our 121 Employment Service located in the Western Suburbs of Sydney are funded under the Commonwealth Government (DEN) funding to provide assistance to people with disabilities including mental illness to find and keep a job in the open labour markets across the greater western Sydney region.
This role is about finding sustainable employment outcomes for individuals with a disability or a barrier to work.
The role involves:
- Interviewing and assessing job seekers
- Identifying employment goals and training needs
- Securing employment opportunities
- Providing both individual and group training
- Effectively supporting job seekers to achieve their employment goals
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience working with people with a disability or psychiatric illness in an employment service including case management.
- Excellent communication, time management and administrative skills
- Strong networking and negotiation skills and the ability to market job seekers to potential employers
- Excellent computer skills
- Preferably possess Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or Disability Work .
- A current NSW drivers licence
Base salary is SACS Award Grade 3 with 20% salary packaging.
