A leading brand name and company undergoing significant growth and acquisition is seeking an experienced Customer Service Manager to join their successful team.  As one of Australia’s leaders in the FMCG sector the successful person will enjoy a challenge and have experience managing a diverse workforce of customer service officers across metropolitan and country New South Wales.

 

In this role you will be required to manage the day-to-day customer service operations of the business and provide leadership and support to ensure all tasks are carried out in an efficient, expedient and professional manner where the main requirements will be:

 

  • Manage the day-to-day retail customer service operations within the company
  • Liaise with major customers (WW, Coles, Franklins etc.)
  • Liaise with client retail stores nationally
  • Liaise with sales & marketing departments regarding product margins (new & existing products)
  • Preparation of product analysis for major customers (weekly/monthly basis)
  • Organise and maintain schedules for Field Staff nationally
  • Prepare documentation for Business Managers, Buying teams, Store Managers and Department Managers on a daily basis
  • Prepare business reviews
  • Ensure the organisation of order preparation with warehouses
  • Prioritise delivery of all seasonal products
  • Report and manage transport company delivery issues
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of invoices
  • Manage return of goods
  • Reporting to customers regarding out of stock items
  • Manage projects and lead teams on process or system improvements
  • Hire, train, manage and develop customer service staff
  • Supervise customer service staff of 6
  • Administer formal review process for direct reports
  • Manage projects and lead teams on process or system improvements
  • Annual archiving of documentation

 

We are looking for someone with a high service delivery approach who can motivate others with a flexible approach.  This position would suit an extremely organised person with proven team management skills and a professional approach with:

 

  • Hands-on approach with an ability to multi-task
  • Flexible approach with good time management
  • Logical, confident and persuasive with top class negotiation skills
  • Ability to liaise with people of all levels
  • Strong leadership skills and with a continued improvement focus

 

Essentially the successful applicant will have a stable work history and the following technical skills:

 

  • Experience at a supervisory level – Essential
  • Experience in FMCG – Essential (Fresh produce)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with interest in career progression
  • Proven experience in people management and the ability to develop and train staff
