Presently, global petroleum companies are investing billions of dollars into Coal Seam Gas operators here in the "Sunshine State" as Queensland has been targeted as being a major contributor to the LNG sector.
RecruitR is working in partnership with one of the major producers of methane gas and is proud to introduce this newly created position: Senior Operations Geologist. This international company is now operating in China, India, South East Asia and of course Australia.
In this role you will find your self working on a back to back rotation from the Dalby / Chinchilla region, with the alternative senior operations geologist. You will be responsible for managing the field crews, maintaining the drilling program and providing technical direction to the geological mapping, all whilst maintaining the highest level of site safety and awareness.
Your proven background must consist of:
- Bachelor in Geology
- An extensive background in soft rock exploration - Ideally coal / CSG
- A working knowledge of different drilling operations / drilling types
- Data management - software programs
- Mapping interpretation and simulation
