Mechanical Draftsperson

An opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Draftsperson to join our team at the AREVA T&D Rocklea site. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to the Switchgear Unit.

To be successful for this role, you will need:

• Mechanical Engineering (Advanced diploma or equivalent)
• At least 3 years experience in Mechanical Engineering/Drafting
• Sound understanding of Australian Standards
• Advanced AutoCAD/Inventor skills (AutoCAD Electrical would be an advantagE)
• HVAC experience would be highly regarded

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Reading and understanding a customer specification
• Producing preliminary drawings for tendering/proposals where necessary
• Attending Design reviews
• Producing Bills of Materials for all drawings for upload to T@IS System
• Maintaining an orderly filing system for CAD files as per published rules, and staying abreast of CAD software development
• Adhering to all Environmental procedures in accordance with instructions
