121103 – Regional Human Resources Manager - Central

 



Location: Rockhampton
Salary: PM3 ($98,652 - $122,943) 9/10 day fortnight
 
As the Regional Human Resources Manager for the Northern region, you will report to the Group Manager HR Operations and will be responsible for delivery of a broad range of Human Resources (HR) consulting and functional support services within a large geographical area of the Ergon Distribution network.  The role will be responsible for all HR generalist activities (both pro-active and reactive) within the central geographical region and will work together with business leaders to deliver support in the achievement of their business objectives.
 
The role will manage a small team of Senior / HR Advisors and HR Officers and will have responsibility for a regional budget.
 
More specifically, your duties will include:
  • Guiding and supporting management
  • accountability for all human resource related decisions across the organisation.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of human resource strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Providing effective, customer focused general human resource advice and support to senior and executive managers ensuring ????? ????? existing HR specialist and business knowledge and appreciation and understanding of people, whilst still maintaining a commercially driven focus.
  • Proactively contributing to the implementation of organisational improvements that support the Ergon Energy vision, key priorities and people strategy.
 
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of employment legislation and current HR principles and practices and demonstrated competence in their application in an organisational setting.
  • Strong negotiation and consultation skills with an ability to influence opinion and communicate effectively and consultation skills with an ability to influence opinion and communicate effectively and confidently with all levels within the organisation, particularly senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability in providing excellent customer service and establishing effective partnership relationships with senior and executive managers.

This position has been evaluated as Professional & Managerial Grade 3. Remuneration will be up to $122,943 per annum. The grade and level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicant’s knowledge, skills and competencies that are required in this position. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Ergon Energy Union Collective Agreement 2008.
