Our international client has an opening for a highly professional Junior Tax Compliance & Advisory Associate to join their highly successful team.
Based in Sydney CBD, this challenging and rewarding role will require the successful candidate to work alongside the business and support divisions; providing sound knowledge and assistance on tax management. Duties will include:
- Administer compliance plans (monitoring, testing, reviewing) on relevant documentations and correspondence;
- With respect to the Australian Structured Products business, provide sound knowledge and assistance to front office and support start on Australian taxation issues;
- Provide sign-off on Australian structured products marketing, disclosure and sales practices from a tax perspective;
- Prepare and review taxation disclosures contained in PDSs and other offer documentation;
- Review proposals for new business activities and liaise with other divisions and organisations to ensure accurate legislative and procedural requirements from a taxation perspective are met; and
- Ensure policies and procedures are accurate and up to date in order to provide appropriate induction, training and advice.
To be considered for this position, you must have at least 2 – 3 years’ post qualification experience in a similar role, preferably in a major legal or accounting firm. An understanding of Structured Products, legislation and principles around Offshore Banking Units and also knowledge on transferring pricing will be highly regarded. You will also possess excellent communications skills, autonomous, high attention to detail, great organisational skills, commercial astuteness and strong numeracy skills. Together with these competencies and a positive attitude towards learning new functions will see you prosper within the organisation.
