Naiman Clarke currently has a fantastic LOCUM opportunity – 1st Quarter 2010 - for a qualified Psychiatrist in regional NSW.
This hospital is a dynamic acute care facility & provides a comprehensive range of medical & surgical services.
The facility comprises of a 13-bed Mental Health Clinic specialising in acute inpatient and day programs including depression and anxiety, post-natal depression, stress management, relaxation and meditation.
The role will be to work within a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for the provision of a high quality mental health care to Adult and Child & Adolescent patients.
A case load of 6-8 patients (admitted under your name) to be seen 2-3 times per week, on-call during the week for admitted patients, every 3rd weekend on-call for the whole unit (13 bed unit).
The successful applicant will have the following:
•MBBS or equivalent and NSW Medical Board Registration
•FRANZCP or equivalent
•Demonstrated knowledge experiences as a practicing Psychiatrist
•Knowledge of RANZCP Training By-Laws
•Knowledge of NSW Mental Health Legislation
The ability to perform ECT and do group therapy will be highly regarded.
