    MEGT (Australia) Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation located in Ringwood, Victoria. It's easy to get to by public transport and you can shop til you drop at Eastlands across the road.

    We help make apprenticeships, traineeships and training happen for loads of young people all around Australia. And we help employers in those areas too. In fact, we're the leading Australian organisation in this sector.

    Our new Multimedia Officer will work within the Marketing team. This team assists the organisation as a whole to grow and provides promotional tools and support to the MEGT Australian Apprenticeships Centre, MEGT Institute and MEGT Group Training divisions.

    The Marketing team is an inhouse resource providing the skills and services you would normally find in a combination of advertising agency/graphic design studio/online agency/distribution organisation/events/marketing and PR company. We cover the full gamut of marketing services and as such, provide employees with the opportunity to express themselves in a broad range of creative fields.

    Our inhouse service is customer service oriented and the new person would be expected to contribute positively to the team. But it is not all about websites! The successful candidate will be involved in new and emerging media and promotions. There will also be times when you will share tasks with other team members and liaise with our IT Department.

    Your day by day role will involve:

    • development and maintenance of our intranet and internet sites (in Sharepoint)
    • publishing and distribution of material through social networking
    • recommendations on emerging media opportunities
    • management of Google Adwords and Analytics
    • assistance in the development of PR opportunities including videos
    • graphic design for print as well as web
    • and sharing ????? ????? of the Marketing team as a whole.

    Skills required include

    • exceptional English language skills
    • Adobe CS3/4 Suite (essential)
    • Java script
    • video editing/animation (nice, but not essential)
    • HTML & CSS (essential)

    While our platform is Sharepoint, knowledge of this program is not essential. If you know HTML and can demonstrate experience in developing websites, we can provide training for the suitable applicant. Even if this is your first full time job, we really need to see evidence of websites you have personally developed.

    Essential personal attributes include:

    • ability to meet scheduled deadlines
    • personally active in social networking media.

    Salary includes superannuation and three days additional leave per year. MEGT has a generous EBA and is an equal opportunity employer. This is a full time role with hours from 8.40 to 5.00 Monday to Friday.
