Our client, a fully fledged Islamic Investment and Commercial Bank with an entire Sharia’a (Islamic Law) compliant portfolio of products, is a progressive new bank to the Qatar region whose products cover retail, corporate, investment and private banking. The firm has a working capital of USD2B and is in growth mode of its business lifecycle having only recently established in Qatar in 2006.
To facilitate this growth, our client seeks to appoint an Assistant General Manager-Branch Network Management reporting to the General Manager of Retail Banking, the role is pivotal to the success of the Retail Banking function.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Management and oversight of all banking branches in Qatar
- Work closely with Branch Managers to build better customer relationships and revenue from each branch
- Reporting of sales figures and operating margins to the General Manager, Retail Banking
- Conduct analysis and research indentifying new areas of growth within the region
- Work closely with the Product Development in identifying which branches will be most benefit from new product roll outs
The key attributes for this role include:
- Degree in Business, Marketing or Economics
- Experience in managing, developing and overseeing retail and commercial bank branches
- Strong business acumen and communication skills in English, with Arabic highly desired.
- Previous experience working in a similar role within the GCC region is required.
