The country of Qatar is currently experiencing an economic boom in economy and industry and has placed an emphasis on a major drive toward development of infrastructure services and construction of projects on a national scale. Our client, the leading government agency for infrastructure development and project management, is growing their specialist teams and are looking to appoint Infrastructure Engineers for various major projects.
Reporting to the Head of Drainage Design, our Client is looking to secure staff for their Design Drainage Department. These roles are specialist design roles in drainage for major water and waste water sewerage treatment plant projects for the country of Qatar.

Typical duties include:
- Preparation of drainage design drawings, calculations, scheme evaluations and design reports relevant to area of specialization (foul sewerage, sewerage effluent, process design, sewerage treatment works or surface and ground water).
- Coordination with associated disciplines to ensure that interfaces have been considered and designed;
- Assistance in striving continuous technical improvement of the design team;
- Management of consulting bodies as well as CAD Technicians.
- Safety Engineer role - establishing "Safety and Health Policy", "Safety Manual" and related work procedures based on the Strategies and Quality, Safety and Environmental (QSE) regulations, and membership of known safety association eg NIBOSH.
Typical attributes:
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or similar) from an accredited University; Safety role – a minimum 12 years of Industrial experience preferably on Operation and maintenance industries, with a water / Sewage Treatment base.
- 15 years experience in design engineering ????? ????? and waste water with at least 5 years specialization in the disciplines mentioned above.
- A sound knowledge of and the ability to design storm & foul water drainage networks and associated fittings and fixtures;
- A working knowledge of road design software such as Civil 3D and/ or MX is preferred.
- Must have experience of managing high performing multi-disciplinary teams and being responsible for 100+ staff.
