The country of Qatar is currently experiencing an economic boom in economy and industry and has placed an emphasis on a major drive toward development of infrastructure services and construction of projects on a national scale.  Our client, the leading government agency for infrastructure development and project management, is growing their specialist teams and now look to appoint an Infrastructure Advisor – Strategy. Reporting to the General Manager, you will be a technical advisor for the strategic direction of infrastructure projects for the country of Qatar. This is a role where you can impart your knowledge in this emerging economy.

• Advising improvement of the operational and fiscal activities of the Strategic Business Unit and develop/implement systems and procedures to improve the operating quality/effectiveness of the unit;
• Provide recommendation for the development of continuous improvement plans to strategically enhance the performance of the Infrastructure Division;
• Act as technical advisor on infrastructure projects from concept, through construction until hand over of the project;
• Responsibility for monitoring and reporting on the performance of the infrastructure departments. 

• An Engineering degree or comparable with specialization in infrastructure (roads and drainage);
• A Masters in business administration would be highly regarded;
• A minimum of 15 years experience in the project and design management of major roads, buildings and drainage infrastructure, with at least 10 years at senior management level;
• Experience with managing high performing multi-disciplinary teams and being responsible for 100+ staff;
• Experience with managing, coordinating, and administering medium-size, complex, multi function design projects;
• Experience with managing and controlling multi million riyal budgets.
