The State of Qatar is witnessing a boom in economy and industry characterised by a major drive towards development of infrastructure services and execution of several projects at the levels of private and public sectors. Established in 2004, our Client, the leading government agency for infrastructure development and project management was set up to oversee all infrastructure related projects as well as public amenities for the State of Qatar and this has marked an important turning point in the history of infrastructure development of the state of Qatar, which has embarked on a major phase of change and development in all aspects of life.
They are now growing their specialist teams and are looking to appoint a Senior Business Development Specialist to establish, direct and supervise the strategic corporate business development system in the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Initiate and follow-up new business opportunities;
- Develop methodologies for evaluating the feasibility of new business activities;
- Develop business development guidelines and ensure they are adhered to for newly proposed initiatives;
- Support and facilitate agreements and partnerships with foreign and local companies to set up new ventures in the business.
Key attributes for this role include:
- An Engineering Degree;
- A Masters degree in business administration would be highly regarded;
- 5-10 years prior experience in strategic business development ideally in the public infrastructure sector (roads, buildings and drainage);
- Experience with managing, coordinating, and administering medium-size, complex, multi function design projects;
- Experience with managing and controlling multi million riyal budgets;
- Experience with managing high performing multi-disciplinary teams;
- Previous experience in the GCC region required.
