Our client, an international multi disciplined consulting group, who provide design and project management services across the building and construction, civil engineering and infrastructure sectors seeks a Senior Site Manger to lead, direct and monitor the performance of site managers, site engineers and support staff in the team on the construction of a USD2.7B medical and research hospital which is a design and build project.
You will report to the Senior Project Manager of the Hospital and be the client’s representative, leading a team of site managers and engineers.
Your duties will include:
- Leading, directing and monitoring the performance of all site managers (10 on site), site engineers and support staff in the team;
- Delivery of the management contract on behalf of the client in terms of time, cost and quality;
- Overseeing of all contractors submission approvals;
- Chairing of progress meetings, monitoring of work and programmes;
- Quality and trade coordination;
- Monitoring of design management function;
- Budget management;
- Liaising with clients on a daily basis;
- Reporting on project budget and programme to the management team;
- Responding with appropriate and necessary levels of construction supervision to provide quality assurance in accordance with Contract Documents;
- Advising and assisting the contractor on construction procedures.
Attributes:
- A degree qualification in Construction / Engineering / Architecture or similar;
- Institutional / professional membership would be highly regarded;
- 15+ years experience with at least 10 years experience on major commercial projects;
- Mega project experience essential. Projects >USD200mill desirable;
- Consultancy experience also highly desirable;
- Must have hospital experience (ideally US designed projects).
