Our Client, a newly established Qatari quasi government entity who delivers international project management services to key master developers for commercial, real estate, residential, leisure, and infrastructure projects seeks to appoint a Senior Construction Manager to their firm to lead and manage their global construction management processes. Their intent is to service national (Qatari) and international projects as the client’s representatives on mega projects meeting time, budgetary and quality requirements.
Reporting to the Technical Director, the proven performer we seek for this role will be responsible for leading and managing a multinational team and overseeing the entire construction process for the Client’s global projects. You will also act as a member of the expert panel for the company providing expert advice regarding the expansion of projects and construction management services of the Client’s projects across Doha, Sudan, Egypt, Morocco, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Libya, as well as in various countries aligned to Qatar. The projects are primarily hotels, resorts and master planned communities.
The key attributes for this role include:
- A relevant Construction/Engineering degree;
- Over 20 years experience in successfully managing large building projects (upward of USD200M) is essential;
- At least 5 years experience in a Senior Construction Management role or similar;
- Comprehensive experience in Hotel/Resort/Master Planned Communities/High-Rise is required;
- Strong leadership skills;
- Strong communicator with well developed negotiation skills;
- Chartered status will be highly regarded;
- Minimum of 12 months expatriate experience in the Middle East / GCC region is required.
