Assistant manager for food store.
Our store has been around for over 20 years and is well respected in the industry. We are also a family business so you must be prepared to, join the family.
· We are not necessarily looking for someone with experience in the field. We are looking for a person who can fit in and be part of an amazing space.
· Honesty… we know when you are ‘chucking a sickie’.
· Loyalty…. No moonlighting at Woolworths.
· No wombats!!!.....If you like to be idle and meditative we suggest a museum.
· Bright happy personality….. no melodramatics. Please leave issues at home, we will provide you with some here!
· Ability to adapt behaviour to individual situations….. No, we don’t speak to Mrs Rochester the same way as our mate at the pub.
· Sense of humour….. yes we are being funny so if you haven’t laughed so far we may have a problem.
· Excellent communication skills and a general fondness of the human population.
· Does not own and “Kraft Cheese” products.
· Long term…. We need you to stay with us for longer than a Hollywood marriage.
· Physical work….. this is the food industry. Your feet will be sore! (We suggest Campers)
· Must fulfil every position in-store such as
- Merchandising
- Café/Barista
- Managing cured meat/charcuterie section
- Customer service
- Deliveries
- Orders
- Getting down on hands and knees and cleaning.
· And then some….
The most important part. This is what will land you the ‘assistant manager’ bit of the job. Essentially there are new aspects and elements that need to be set up and nurtured. We are looking to expand the business and explore other avenues and the current manager is running themselves down raggered and is in need of some help. Some of these new projects may include website set up and taking ownership of in-store areas and improving them.There are many exciting new ideas and so many possiblities to explore. This is also the fun part so if you are up for a challenge then let us know!
