Electrical Engineer, Desalination
Immediate Start (Oct/Nov 2009) - Adelaide role
Highly challenging and complex project

Our client is an internationally recognised leader in desalination and renewable energy. They are currently building the Adelaide desalination plant and require the expertise of an experienced Electrical Engineer.
Reporting to the Project Manager your role will be to facilitate the delivery of projects by undertaking design, project management and administration of allocated projects for the delivery of the Adelaide Desalination Plant and to interface with key stakeholders to ensure project timelines, milestones and key requirements are met.
Specific requirements include:
Design:
- Developing and completing technical calculations, technical documents and schedules
- Managing design information relating to drawing registers, transmittals, change request documents etc.
- Undertaking detailed electrical areas.
Project Delivery:
- Developing and compiling internal documents, communicating with tenderers on points of clarification, co-ordinating and inputting to site visits and tender meetings, compiling tender comparison spreadsheets and other documents as directed.
- Managing the scoping, definition, specification and tendering ????? ????? works & procurement items.
- Co-ordinating and filing of general project documentation, including tender documents, contract documents, memos and quality documentation.
- Managing the resolution of non-critical project issues through the collation and analysis of relevant information and making recommendations to the Project Manager and other internal stakeholders
- Complete requests for quotations for electrical machinery and equipment as required.
In order to be considered for this role, you will be a degree qualified Electrical Engineering. Experience in Water Treatment will be highly desirable or basic knowledge of water treatment techniques and instruments (medium level). The ideal candidate will have around 10 years experience working in a comparable technical role (design and construction) and knowledge of drawing software/capabilities in supervision of drawings. Finally, you will need to have a willingness and flexibility to travel both interstate and overseas and be capable of working in a multi-skilled / multinational team.
