BACKGROUND
In the last 6 years, SKYS has seen the need to embrace a new approach to the delivery of welfare and support services for marginalized young people. This new approach focuses on maximizing a young person’s prospects and potential for establishing a place in the community while being self-sufficient. It is underscored by the shift towards training and education as a pathway towards healthy social relationships, lifestyles and behaviour.

SKYS looks towards offering ????? ????? and holistic solutions for overcoming the barriers and risks of disengagement, through practical training and education programs. SKYS delivers education and training via the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) and the Certificate of General Education for Adults (CGEA). SKYS tailors the CGEA towards young mums, which is commonly called the SKYS Young Mums program.
