Why does the job exist?
With the expansion of work at our current operations, we are currently seeking experienced Allround Operators for our South Middleback Ranges Project located 80km west of Whyalla in the Eyre Peninsula, South Australia.

With increased production now in full swing as part of Project Magnet. HWE Mining currently handles over nine million tonnes of iron ore per year at SMR. The ore is processed on site, pelletised and used as feedstock at the Whyalla Steelworks, the engine room of OneSteel’s business. The remaining ore mined from SMR is sold to international markets.
What skills and experience do you need?
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 years experience, with the operation of a variety of equipment such as Caterpillar 777 Trucks, Caterpillar D10 Dozers, Caterpillar 777F Watercarts, Hitachi EX 1900 Excavators amongst other ancillary equipment. A current Licence is also a requirement for this position.
