Safety Superintendent

 



This leading EPCM joint venture in Western Australia has undertaken and completed some of the states largest Iron Ore projects to date, supported by a global resource giant this joint venture is set to sore. The degree of complexity and the seer scope of the project makes this an very exciting venture for the professional person.
Now heading into a new phase of expansion in the Pilbara the sourcing of a key
Role - Safety Superintendent is now underway.

The role itself is there to provide support primarily to the construction manager thru the provision of supervision, implementation of HSEC safety procedures and continual monitoring.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Ensuring ????? ????? Mine Safety & Inspection standards are met and adhered to pertaining to all safety, contractor management, hazard, incident, accident and all relevant inspections.
Implementation and management of all safety meetings for project personnel, together with mentoring ????? ????? supervisors
Management and monitoring ????? ????? to ensure project and contractual requirements are being upheld  
Maintain detailed daily/weekly reporting of HS&S performance to the construction manager to ensure contractual compliance.
Management of site entry for all equipment/plant and project personnel
Coordination of construction and operational personnel, contractors and authorities to arrange operational shutdowns, and or tie-ins to existing plant and services
Management of contractual and conflict resolution
Liaise with relevant client representatives and local authorities to ensure smooth running of project.
Contract administration


Skills required:

Your ability to communicate with all levels of personnel is paramount in forging and fostering ????? ?????, you will have a keen eye for detail and you will be able to work to strict deadlines. You will have a strong understanding of emergency response and be able to recognize and rectify safety issues before incidents occur.
Your negotiation skills will be called upon frequently in this role, therefore a demonstrated ability in contractual matters is essential.
You will have previously been Safety superintendent on a large scale EPCM construction project and you will hold a Tertiary qualification in OHS or related degree and you will have at least 10 years practical experience.
