Reporting to the HR Manager, you will demonstrate a personal commitment to continuous improvement while providing general clerical support as required.
Your major duties will include:
- Assistance with Workforce Planning activities;
- Assisting with the performance management and review process;
- Development of HR Reports;
- Helping with Employee Relations queries;
- Assisting with the development of policy and procedure;
- Organisational development activities; and
- Development of training programmes and assessment tools.

Owned by BHP Billiton, Yandi is a FIFO Iron Ore mine located 120km north-west of Newman and about one hour drive from the picturesque Karijini National Park. HWE Mining handles over 45 million tonnes of iron ore per annum at Yandi and provides a complete mining service including drilling and blasting, loading and hauling, processing, train loading, infrastructure management and maintenance. The site is equipped with a medical centre and recreational facilities include a gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis court, cricket nets, walking and cycling tracks.
What skills and experience do you need?
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will be an efficient self starter with strong organisational skills. Key attributes that will contribute to your success include previous administrative experience with the ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
You’ll have proven ability to prioritise and manage a substantial workload with intermediate to advanced computer skills, be competent in using Microsoft Office and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
We are seeking an individual who is driven and proactive with a genuine interest in Human Resources. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in an administrative role, strong computer skills, an eye for detail and well developed interpersonal skills.
A key requirement of this position is that you have completed, or are close to the completion of a degree or Diploma in Human Resources.
