ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNER

As a Senior Environmental Planner you will already have developed key expertise in areas such as EIA/EMP and water resources planning for urban development and town planning projects.

What makes this role exciting and a step out of the routine is exposure to strategic planning and policy ventures.

When I speak to environmental planners, they all enjoy their niche, and acknowledge they are developing capabilities that set them apart from the majority of environmental professionals. The number one request though is variety in the scope of work.

With their foot already in the door for government projects, key in your role will be aiding in developing strategic policy and planning specialist services. State management come from a government background, with strong local connections. The opportunity for business is already created, they just need someone to take charge and manage projects technically. This will put you on a path to management, developing juniors beneath you as market shares grows.

In line with other business streams of social and economic infrastructure, the environmental planning group has a strong focus on providing socially and sustainably responsible services. Corporate responsibility is key in to company culture, with charity sponsorships and event participation regular initiatives.
