A passionate Underground Mine Geologist is required for an exciting, mid-tier mining group. The role is the result of an internal promotion and will form part of the on-site geology team focused on the safe & efficient extraction of ore from a complex, underground mine.

The size and structure of this site allows this expert knowlegde to be shared amongst a passionate and career driven geology group and various 'fast-track' career options will be available.

The Underground Mine Geologist will report to a Senior Mine Geologist and will take responsibility for all daily production activities. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will be used to manage the underground contractor while also directing & instructing the underground geotechs and graduate geologists. Your technical knowledge will be applied to the ongoing interpretation of a structurally complex orebody while you also assume various hands-on duties. Your computer skills will be developed through further training & mentoring ????? ????? to gain experience with orebody modelling will be available.

To take advantage of this position, you will need to offer Tertairy Qualifications in Geology, previous underground experience, sound computer literacy skills and, most of all, a proven ability to work as part of a passionate and highly motivated geological team.

The position is offered on a 9:5 FIFO roster and the successful geologist will be required to base themselves within Perth (relocation assistance provided). A salary package reflecting your skills and experience will be negotiated and it is expected to be in the range of $100K - $125K.
