A fantastic permanent opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Developer with skills in C#, OOD and Windows Presentation Foundation, and an interest in UI Development.

The Senior .NET/WPF Developer is responsible for various aspects of development including Analysis and Design, Development and Unit Testing, System, User and Operational Acceptance Test Support, Performance Testing, Implementation Services and Production Support.
Responsibilities:

• Develop or modify programs according to specifications and standards, within scheduled time frames.
• Thoroughly plan and execute unit testing, to ensure that delivered components are high quality and free from defects.
• Develop component integration test plans that cover all required components of the system under change/development.
• Perform quality review to ensure that any development undertaken conforms to standards.
• Perform and quality assures estimates & quotes for projects that are realistic and achievable as required.
• Participate in or provide inputs to the Design Team as required.
• Ensure adequate support is provided to Testing Teams, with problems and queries attended to in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain Training and Test environments as required.
• Provide implementation services including planning, documentation and execution as required.
• Follow change management process, raise change requests, package & deliver code as required
• Resolve problems and respond to queries in an effective, pleasant and timely manner.
• Provide after hours production support as required.
• Ensure required documentation completed and correct.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
Essential

• OOD, C#, .NET 3, Windows Presentation Foundation, N-Unit or TestDriven.NET

Desirable:

• Windows Communication Foundation
• Composite UI Application Block and related Smart Client Technologies
• Test driven development
• 3+ years using C#
• MCP/MCSD/MCAD certification
• Oracle 10g, PL/SQL

Key tasks / expected deliverables:

• Development of the middle tier for an internal enterprise application within a large project team
• Design, development, unit testing and testing support
