As a cornerstone of the state-wide health reform, the establishment of the WA Health Information Network (HIN) in 2007 has led to the ongoing facilitation and implementation of a modern, integrated and user friendly ICT platform for public health care services across the State. This platform will enable the support and delivery of world class public health care across WA, ensuring ????? ????? of technological capacity aligned to meet WA Health’s future needs.
WA Health are looking to appoint a Director of Strategy to become part of their senior management team. This position has considerable influence on the direction and achievement of the eHealthWA strategy and return on ICT investment and will be responsible for:

Providing guidance and technical advice to the CIO and partnering ????? ????? HIN business units and clients to ensure presentations to the business are unified and consistent in order to maximise ICT solutions for strategic advantage, and to establish and maintain the ICT strategic plan.

Developing and maintaining ICT strategic plans, governance framework and policies related to major ICT improvements and extensions to the health service network; which are also in line with national and State eHealth strategies, as well as representing and satisfying the ICT needs of all business units within WA health.

Managing major contracts/projects, developing strategic relationships with key State and Commonwealth agencies and for reporting on outcomes and managing the performance of contractors.
You will have excellent negotiation and influencing skills in order to articulate the eHealthWA strategy to the business, and negotiate and present strategic ICT directions and solutions. Your track record implementing major change projects and converting strategy to achieve key benefits and outcome for the business will be highly regarded. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills will be essential in order to work in partnership and influence a range of internal and external clients and stakeholders at the State and Commonwealth level. You will also evidence demonstrated accomplishments as a leader with sound management experience.
