Position Description
The Process Engineer provides competent technical support in relation to design and engineering services for process engineering projects.
Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Common Responsibilities
- To live and promote the Project Covenants and Objectives.
- To meet the position Objectives and KPIs.
- To be personally responsible for Incident & Injury Free.
Specific Responsibilities
- Ensure all process engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed designs, specifications and documentation for all process engineering project work and ensure project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works.
- Ensure process engineering projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide high level technical support for all process engineering project work as required.
- Prepare documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitoring regimes in respect of work on or around process engineering projects.
- Liaise with other department engineers and draftspersons to ensure project goals are met.
- Provide input to the process engineering budget
- Participate in technical reviews of all procurement and construction contract packages.
- Progress monitoring and reporting.
- Undertake scope control and trending of scope changes as needed
- Undertake engineering support for the contracts
- Meet assigned dates for engineering deliverables

- Ability to assess project risks and understand associated contingencies
- Ability to form & foster collaborative relationships within the business and externally
- Understanding of and ability to follow Company & Client policies and procedures

- Ability to delegate tasks and communicate
- Understanding HSE regulations and standards
- Ability to implement cost control measures
Qualifications Required:
Tertiary Metallurgy or Chemical engineering qualifications & previous experience on EPCM Projects
Desirable:
Experience (indicative only): ideally 5+ years design experience in base metals and precious metals beneficiation and extraction, especially gold, silver and copper.
