This first tier contractor has a portfolio of projects above and beyond that of its competitors. In order to continue its growth, whilst maintaining exemplary levels of delivery, a Senior Project Manager is required to join its operational team.

Responsibilities
Ensure the development of a comprehensive Project Management Plan that includes procedures outlining the method of work, progress reporting, and process for communication and documentation, including safety, quality and environmental considerations
Once the Project Management Plan is developed ensure all work activities are carried out in accordance with the prescribed methods and documented responsibilities contained within the Project Procedures and the Project Management Plan and that these plans are regularly reviewed and audited.
Ensure that all Quality and HSE matters are properly implemented according to the contract including regular audits and review.
Ensure that employee relations are maintained and employment contact and collective agreement requirements and obligations are clear and unambiguous.
Lead and manage the interface with the Clients Project Management team.
Ensure positive project team relationships with Authorities, Design Contractors, Sub Contractors and Suppliers.
Oversee the development of concepts and approaches which are to be used for engineering, procurement and construction.
Ensuring that all required and contractual client policies and procedures are implemented throughout the project.
Carrying out regular reviews and site visits to observe and evaluate conditions and performance of work.
Regularly review work load and completion forecasts from Project Controls departments to ensure project remains on track.
Monitor the Project Budget on the basis of the Project Target Estimate and institute a Project Cost Control System, taking particular responsibility for the cash flow and profitability of the project.
Take immediate and appropriate preventative action in the event of actual or potential Quality Problems, Safety Hazards or Infringements, Environmental Incidents or Infringements, Schedule Delays or Financial Losses.
Prepare regular and timely reports on project progress as required by the client and Project Steering Committee.
Arrange for the timely submission of all documentation required under the Terms of the Contract.
Arrange for the training of personnel, organise and chair project team meetings and take particular responsibility for Safety, Industrial Relations, Environmental and Staff Welfare in all aspects of the project.
Requirements
Tertiary Qualification
10 years Oil & Gas Industry Experience
Demonstrated success in leading and managing projects greater than $100m
Demonstrated ability to lead improvement in project safety performance.
